Electrical equipment uses a wide variety of wire and cable types and it is up to us to be able to correctly identify and use the wires which have been specified. The wrong wire types will cause operational problems and could render the unit unsafe.

When electricity was originally used for practical purposes, it was used for communication in the form of the electric telegraph and the telephone. Petroleum and paraffin lamps were still lighting homes until the late 1800s, when Thomas Edison developed the light bulb.

It only requires finger pressure to make the cut. These cutters hold carbide cutters at perfect angles for cutting your valve seats. Depending on your engine you may need to cut your valve seats with a 46 degree or 31 degree cutter. There is a 1 degree interference angle to allow your valves to wear into the seats to form perfect seals. The valve seat cutters require a perfect valve guide in order to accurately cut the seat.

You must totally enclose conductors and their connection external to the control panel enclosure in suitable raceways or enclosures. Unless used for flexible connections involving small or infrequent movements, or connections to normally stationary motors, limit switches and other externally mounted devices, fittings used with raceways or multiconductor cables must be liquidtight.

The starter solenoid is a relay switch that contains 2 circuits and has 3 or 4 wires connecting to and from it. Two of these wires are heavy gauge, and the remaining are smaller gauge. The two heavy gauge wires are connected to your starter and to your battery. The remaining small gauge wires are connected to the small terminals on the starter solenoid and lead to the ignition switch and to the common ground. If your starter solenoid only has one small wire or terminal, the ground is through the solenoid’s mounting bracket.

However, an exception allows you to install a splice in leads attached to electrical equipment, such as motors and solenoids.

One bite at a time.” If your engine is running poorly it could be caused by several problems. It’s best to break your problem down into separate systems and work through each system individually.
