Transformers may be fitted with turret tags suitable for soldering and printed circuit board assemblies may have solder pins.

I want to emphasize that the wear is very slight, and cannot replace an actual valve seat cutter. I use valve lapping compound to show me the contact points from the valve seat onto the valve face.

Electrical equipment uses a wide variety of wire and cable types and it is up to us to be able to correctly identify and use the wires which have been specified. The wrong wire types will cause operational problems and could render the unit unsafe.

That's 5,000,000 ohms! We know that a typical small engine ignition coil uses between 3 to 5 amps. By using the above mathematical formula we can determine that the bad spark plug ignition cable caused between 15,000,000 to 20,000,000 volts to be generated by the ignition coil!

These conductors must be yellow throughout the entire circuit, including wiring in the control panel and the external field wiring. • White or natural gray represents a grounded circuit conductor. • White with blue stripe represents a grounded DC current-carrying circuit conductor. International and European standards require you to use light blue for the neutral conductor. • White with yellow stripe represents grounded AC current-carrying control circuit conductors that remain energized when the disconnecting means is in the OFF position. For additional circuits powered from different sources that remain energized when the main disconnecting means is in the OFF position, you must use striping colors other than green, yellow or blue to uniquely identify the grounded conductors.

Ensure that identification tags and cable markers are legible, marked with a permanent ink and suitable for the environment where the panel is to be used. They should also correspond with those shown in the machine drawings and instruction or service documentation.

Insert the valve cutter pilot into the valve guide, and gently place the appropriate valve cutter into the pilot. Using the “T” handle apply gentle finger pressure downwards while rotating the tool. This is all it takes to cut into the valve seats. Do this for a few revolutions. Finish, by turning the “T” handle a few times without applying finger pressure. When done correctly you should see that you have cut a uniform area around your valve seat. Repeat this process with your other valve seat.
